Not sure the name of that opening.  The guy who plays it against me usually morphs it into a sort of delayed English opening.

By the way, to my opponebnts, sorry for my frequent lasping into vacation time, I have no home Internet & alot going on in my life at present & it's very hard to give my games the necessary attention.  I will get back on things as soon as I can!

While it can morph into several of the flank openings it is esentialy the first two moves of the KIA, ie: Nf3, g3, Bg2, O-O, d3, Nbd2, e4.

Transpositions abound. What do you like to play as black in closed openings?

White could be planning a KIA, or Catalan which wouldn't be stopped by Black's play. I think White could play an English or Reti but that might depend on what Black does.

Okay so I think Black can turn towards a Tarrasch, queens indian, bogo indian, Grünfeld, Chigorin, hippo, hedgehog, Baltic or a two knights tango. I think that's all of 'em lol.
