Justs, avoiding your opponent's 'preparation' below master level is pretty silly. They don't know what they're doing much better than you do, especially in a line as complex as the Open Sicilian.

You are idiotic like the rest of them, or you didn't read what I posted earlier. The 2nd is probably worse.

Meeting your opponents prep head on requires study. Avoiding your opponents prep is something you can do very, very easily without ever having to crack a book.

If you don't like the Sicilian and your friend plays it, play 1.d4! You think that is too advanced for someone below 2200?!?!

Here is an idea for you. If you are attending a chess club regularly, and you can't remember what openings and variations your opponents play, you're so stupid you should quit playing chess.

You think if I play 1.e4 and my opponent that I see and play on a weekly basis plays 1 ... e5 against my 1.e4, and I can't remember, I should bother playing this game? So if he plays the Petroff and I don't like it, it's too advanced for me to play 2.Nc3? Do you know how imbecilic you all sound? Even a 900 rated player that doesn't study openings can decide whether him and his opponent are comfortable or uncomfortable with the resulting position.

Your post seems to suggest otherwise. Also, are you suggesting 1.d4 requires no study?

You are idiotic, illiterate, and presumptuous. I'm not going to tolerate accusations of having said or meant something that I didnn't. I used clear language.

I'm taking the tracking off and I'm not returning to read anything you say. You are beneath the scum inside the cracks of my shoes.

I would get new shoes...

I read this whole forum again.

All I have to say is I find it funny.

I find it funny because Bobby Fischer in the earlier 1970's refuted some people's statements on this thread with a single quote lol.

Bobby Fischer is dead now,yet he still refutes people from his grave which is funny.

"I don't believe in psychology. I believe in good moves."
