It is called the Elephant Gambit. Your variation is evidently the Elephant Gambit Declined.
Did you play the gambit and somebody declined it? Or was it the other way around?

I know about the Elephant Gambit already. My question is, is 3. d4 actually playable?
I'm sure it's playable, reminds me of a line I play as Black 1. e4 d6 2. d4 Nf6 3. Bd3 e5 4. c3 and now Black can play the double pawn move 4...d5
