What makes a GM

Hi people i got a great qestion for you how do people get to be grand masters hear what it can't be

-oppening theory (evryone studys oppenings an evreyon is not a GM thats why i concentrate more on other asspects on the game and play logical oppenings thta dont nee too much theory)

-tactics(it helps to be a GM but sadly evreyone goes to a website like chesstempo and spends around 3hours a day like me).

So what is it.

And other qestion ?I go to 3 tournamets a year one of them is blitz and two over 60 min and i have a problem i can make a plan but accaly it's not making a plan just contuning the plan of the oppening and i accatly wounder when does the middel game start for example.1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. O-O Be7 6. Re1 b5 7. Bb3 d6 8. c3 O-O 9. h3 Na5 10. Bc2 c5 11. d4 Qc7 12. Nbd2 cxd4 13. cxd4 Nc6 14. Nb3 a5 15. Be3 a4 16. Nbd2 Bd7 17. Rc1 Qb7 18. Qe2 Rfe8 19. Looking at and annotating GM games for my own benefit they seem to have an all around deep understanding of the game. Primarily tactics but then also "positional" understanding as well. Looking at Carlson games for examply they just make tactical threats that force their opponents to make positional concessions which eventually lead to conversion of material in the form of a tactical shot. Also they make very few defensive moves and many more multipurpose moves. For example attacking while defending rather than just defending. The one thing that's immediatly obvious is that they use the threat of tactics to force their opponent into losing games from getting too many weaknesses. That's how the big boys play, at least what I've observered.

Chesstempo tactics is not enough to become a GM. Most GMs played a ton versus other GM's and IM's and it's something that makes a difference, when you are playing against strong opposition you are learning the most.
And it would take several years to get to GM level.
 

practice, learn ,study......have to understand deeply...do a lot of puzzles...........one day u will have ur own

i am not assking who to be a gm and i sad that chesstempo its not engough i am asking who did they got to there for example have yoy woundered how did one man out of 6 billion got to be a pope what did he do to get there its not simple as practice study learn
