Technically, this is a line of the Bishop's opening (1.e4 e5  2.Bc4). However, the fact that black has responded with 2...Bc5 means that this could likely turn into the Giuoco Piano (Italian for 'Quiet Game'), which is usually reached through 1.e4 e5  2.Nf3 Nc6  3.Bc4 Bc5. The game may very likely turn into the following (a position responsable for all but abolishing 1.e4 e5 from any of my games):

tonightonly7's position is the so called Steve Davis position, because it is why the snooker champion quit playing chess and moved on to snooker.
