which opening is better e4 or d4
Supposedly e4 is more tactical, d4 is more positional.
Play whichever you like, will have very little impact on your results at the moment.
neither is worse nor better
i think that e4 is best opening.
Ask back when your rating will be 700 points higher.
The typical training concept is to start with e4, get to expert, then switch to d4 to start learning positional play, then switch back to e4 and become a GM :P
d4 is better, because from there, you can dance in the complexly theoretical and double-edged worlds of the London, the Colle, and the Stonewall attack.
It's pretty much the perfect opening. Only f4 rivals it.
Sounds perfect for someone rated around 800.
Do what now?
which one will allow more game openings the more options the better or would it be which one will they less challenge the pawn hmm tough choice???
At you present rating itis better to concentrate on tactics and endgames.
Tactics you can practice for free on chesstempo.com. It will improve your board sight tactical patterns.
For endgames you need to practice those with a board and a chess set. I will explain why it is so important to practice endgames.
I am going to use an example from professional and college basketball to explain the reason why you have to study and practice endgames. How does the player know how much arm strength and leg strength to use to swish a 3-pointer? The answer is simple, it's muscle memory. He has practiced that shot so many times that he can do it in his sleep. He can see the ball going through the hoop in his mind and at the same time his muscle memory kicks in.
It is the same with endgames in chess. Take for example the basic checkmate endgames in chess. What you have to know is that in every basic checkmate endgame the same endgame technique is used. I call it corralling the king. It is the same in all of them (K+R vs. K, K+Q vs. K, K+2Bs vs. K, K+B+N vs. K), you fence the king in, you drive him into the corner by making the fenced in area smaller and smaller and then deliver mate.
You have to practice those basic checkmates until you can do them in your sleep. Then, when you are playing a game something magical happens. Those same basic fencing in(corraling) patterns will become apparent to you when a similar pattern is reached in a game that you are playing, even though it is mixed in with pawns and other pieces in the position you are looking at. That pattern will jump up off the chess board and smack you in the forehead. I know, I have had it happen to me. Because, I can do the basic checkmate endgames in my sleep.
The same rule applies to all endgames. You have to practice them so much that you can do them in your sleep.
Anyway, good luck with a "professional gunslinger" strong chess player.
Having passed through the town of toilet I am not at all surprised by the challenging question posited by its favorite native son.
This is a serious question each side has its argumentand as for the town toilet its a joke on the real place I live and if come to the place I live you would understand
The argument is d4 they will not attack the pawn but on e4 allows more openings also it is harder to build a defence with the opponent taking out your pawns it's a matter of debate
I am not named franken berry
my keyboard is broken
That does not change the fact you have a stupid name.
Why are we talking about user names the question was which do you think is better e4 or d4 why did you even talk about the rating that is way off topic #%}% don't even comment about anybody's.
