Well, i prefer white because I play white all the time when I play my uncle.  He's the only one i really play in person because I can't find any competition.  He prefers black because he likes to make a defense and he can plan his moves better after knowing what the opponents plan is. 

Yes, I heard that black has a slight disadvantage since they move second.

Well, I prefer Black by a long shot. I find it more fun to defend than to attack. And it's always amusing when your only goal is to stop white from winning...waiting for white to make the mistake.

After all, because white moves first, white gets the first chance to blunder.

Doesnt bother me I like to alternate though dont like spending to much time just playing as one colour.

White, but it also depends on the opponent I face. Some might be weaker as White.

i would say white because it moves first and if it is a really close game and your both one move away from checkmate wieght would always win, although it has a disadvantage in the case that someone trys to copy your moves if your white you will always have to dicide on the move

I was born white and am pleased with it.  If I was born black, I would imagine that I would feel the same way.
