RULES:The rules of the Tournament are thus:

1. 30 registrations are taken of rating 1500+. Now these 30 members will be divided into teams of five,i.e. 5 members in one team, and thus yielding 6teams to compete to compete against each other. The players will be randomly placed in a team, over which no argument will be interested. Game format will be 3 days/move.
2. The placement of players will be in this format- The Highest Rated player i.e. MM78 goes into Group A, followed by psihrishi in Group B, and thus on.. The 6^th highest rated player goes in Group F. Now to make the balance the 7^th highest rated player stays in Group F, followed by the 8^th highest rated player in Gropu E.. and so on.
3. Pairings will be given and are simple to understand and players must find their opponents and play with the colours assigned. It should be made clear that every player will have a rank in their team, as provided by the Tournament Organiser, depending upon the rating that they had had during the time of their registration. Now He/she can only play the players of their own rank of the other teams.. The story is simple.. Suppose when group A plays with Group B, player rank 1 of both Group A and Group B will play each other. And the results need to be submitted in the forum. Team wins or draws will be taken into account.. Individual wins doesn’t matter.. Team wins may result as 3-2, 4-1, 5-0 or even 2half-2half, etc… Both the team Managers should report their Team report to the forum .(I'm sorry, but as of now, Chess.com does not support tournaments, so it's going to have to be basic chess)
4. The Highest Rated Player of a team is the Team Manager. For he has to take the responsibility of the team itself.. If He transfers the responsibility to any team member, he must let it know to me, as well as the forum.
5. The games are to be rated by default, but unrated games can be held only by mutual consent.
6. It is almost like a Round Robin for the Teams, where each team plays the other, But there are five rounds for individual players. When one game is over and the results have to be posted on the forum, along with the group name. And when one Team result is over, Both the Team Manager should inform the forum along with their Group names. Please track the Forum for this purpose.
7. Since the tournament can't go on forever, players whose opponents go on vacation for more than a week may claim victory in the game. If the player does not come back from vacation before the next round starts, Their Team Manager can opt to replace the player, but the raplacing player will have to of the same rating as of the abandoned player.
8. All Games must be called TEAM TOURNAMENT,[Group (A/B/C/D/E/F)]. Please Mention the Group Name.
9. I personally request the Players to please present a trophy to the opponents after each game, to keep the sporting spirit alive.

Can I join? I have a rating of 1497, I share this account with my brother. You can see that I have beaten guys rated in between 1600 and 1900. Please consider me in the tournament, I am about to win another game which should put me above 1500, yet, my brother started a game that I can't seem to bring to a win and so I might lose that which would put me slightly below 1500 again.

 

 Guaranteed though, it will be me playing the games in the tournament and I will probably kick him off this account and make him create his own.
