Thinking of giving online lessons...advice?

As someone who's never done this before, I just had couple questions - I was wondering if someone experienced on the matter could help.

1) How is payment usually transfered? I don't have a paypal account; would I need to make one, or are there other viable methods of payment?

2) Do you have to be listed as a coach to give lessons on chess.com? Or can anyone give a lesson without being listed?

Any other advice is appreciated too!

The application to be listed is at: http://www.chess.com/coaches

It is also under the menu "Learn" and "Online Coaching".

it says: Note: Coaches & students must make their own arrangements for lesson scheduling and for payment - for instance, via PayPal.

From what I have seen on the forums, you will find many people who want coaching for free.

Paypal is quite handy. Being listed and having a coach page can't hurt.

Alright, thanks - I made a paypal account, but am sort of confused as to how it works? How do I set up the option for other people to pay me on there for chess lessons?

They have to send money through PayPal at the email address you registered with your PayPal account. There's nothing to set up on chess.com
