Hmm... Isn't 'Reservist' the correct term? Hadn't ever thought of the activist term though.
Well played.
No, 'reservist' is not the correct term. not at all.
I was a Reserve Soldier, not a "reservist", certainly no more than any Active Duty Soldier would want to be known as an "activist".... We were Soldiers.
(hey, that has a ring to it, maybe we should get a movie with that as a title.....)
Perhaps we are actually both correct.

In the Army folks are not referred to as reservists. In the Navy they are.
I guess I learn something everyday.
The Army changed their motto a few years ago to "army of one". thus there can be no difference between active and reserve status folks.
in my case, I was a "squad of one" in the old "Army of one" and am considering a book on my experiences in the Combat Theater in Kuwait and Iraq. (replaced by a 'team' or squad of 11 career counselors upon my departure).
Refresh. Not a bad response thus far.
Glad to hear from more folks. Thanks for the response thus far.
