Has any one experienced a rude or embarrassing situation on this site from other player on this site??? Share it here and lets read your experience.

At one time, a players got p*ssed off with me that he made a rude comment about me being too slow for him, even when i tried to explain my "games" situation i.e being on about 70 baords in like 6 tourney including my other challenge games- he said 'I shouldnt have joined 'quick players' tourney b'cos i'm slowing down the tourney but i replied him that i'm only here to have fun and this is not a life & death thing or a means to earn a living plus i have a life, then he got rude with me in his convo and i told him to bugger off and simply deactivated my chat. He didn't chat with me on the second board which was a sort of relief cos you just wanna play someone and probably get to know them a bit isn't it? lol.

I've been fortunate.  I've haven't had a single cross word or bad experience from anyone I have played.  It's a little different in the forums though where people are happy to say in email what they would never say face to face.

"Cross word"? Rabid_Dog? Goodness gracious. The only thing embarrassing is that this boring thread exists. Next time try to entertain, guys, instead of act "mopey" cause someone was RUDE to you once... "Oh no! How scary!"

Don't get embarrassed as some lower rated players (now) are really good players. They may have lower rating by default being a newcomer to the site. You are lucky that you chanced them. As a consolation watch how their rating change and be careful next time.

This is normal in chess so its okay to get furious. On the other hand if the other fellow thinks that the "sacrifice" will help his plan of winning the game he will go after it. Just be careful and not be overconfident next time

yeh I played a guy who was 1200 when I started the game, and was 1700 somthin when I lost. i was only 1300 somthin

This one time I had gas in the testing center in college. 200 college students quietly taking their tests in a room the size of a football field.

 Both of the "views" he agreed with before were consistent. If I were to "test" our friend RELee1865 I'd have to be like:

I kept prodding my opponant in the eye with my finger until he shouted "would you please stop doing that", I immediately resigned in protest and won't play with him again. 

 

Seriously guys, is the purpose of this thread to join together in moaning about "the bigger boys being mean"? Oh dear

I guess its true Rabid_Dog, people are a little more civil in their emails and messages than they are when on a one to one chat. :)
