On Monday, October 4th, the United States Chess League's San Francisco Mechanics will face off against the Arizona Scorpions. The match has an interesting connection with Chess.com, as two staff members from the site will face one another.
One of the four games of the match will feature IM dpruess (David Pruess) playing against IM ACEChess (Daniel Rensch). The game will be on the second board of the match, with David (San Francisco Mechanics) playing Black and Daniel (Arizona Scorpions) playing White.
Both staff members are hosts of the weekly Chess.com show, "Pardon our Blunders," and the outcome of the match is sure to supply plenty of material for next week's show! The match itself is between two teams looking to work their way into first place in the League's Western Division, so both players will be looking to win. Included below are icons with links in them that will lead to the League's official website, as well as to the group here on Chess.com that Daniel and David are administrators for.
