You can only post them in blogs. I don't know why though. In the blog creation thing there's a youtube button although I prefer other sites - ones that aren't hell-bent on controlling what you watch but whatever....

I'm sorry for getting of topic here, but how is youtube "hell-bent on controlling what you watch"?

Their copyright laws are running amok and now with the draconian ProtectIP law that congress is trying too pass on the sly, it will be illegal to stream anything made by artists.

E.g; you singing some Foo Fighters at karaoke night and posting on youtube gets you fined or sent to county.

I use to create videos in forums. But now i totally forgot.

    This will work for you!

    1. copy the link of the video

    2. click on insert image

    3. paste the link

    4. clcik on save and preview

    5. click on edit

    6. Then you will see the video

    7. SUBMIT!

try it...it may work for u..i did this many times and worked perfectly. But now...someone has reported!(it was a bug)

If i find any other way, i will post it here.

     1. Copy the EMBED code from YouTube.  (it is not the URL in the address bar) the button is located in the bottom right of a video.  Make sure you check the box "Use old embed code."

    2. Paste the embed code into your reply box in the forum.  It will look like a bunch of nonsense.

    3. Click "Save and Preview" DO NOT Click "Submit Comment" at this time.

    4. It still looks a mess at this point, but there are a couple more steps to go.

    5. Click "Edit"

    6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.  You should see the image of a YouTube box in the reply box

    7. Click "Submit your comment"

I hope this helps!  I've included some screen shots that might be useful.

Step 1:  Click on the "Embed" button seen below.

Once you click on the Embed button, you should get a small menu below the video that looks like this.  You can also choose what size you'd like the video box to be before you copy the code.  I usually always choose the smaller one, but it's really your preference.  You'll want to put your cursor over that code and right click and then click "COPY".

From there, go back to the forum you wish to post in and paste the previously copied code into the "Post your reply" box.

This one shows how the embed code will look in the "Post your reply" box.  Once you have the code pasted, click on "Save & preview".

This one shows the screen after you have clicked on "Save & preview".  The "Post your reply" box would be below this.  Click on the "Edit" button.

This shows the "Post your reply" box.  If you don't see the YouTube box there, then something went wrong (it could be that you've copied the wrong code, didn't copy all of the code, or the video isn't allowed to be embedded).  Wink  If the box shows up, click "Submit your changes" and you're done!  If you don't get the YouTube box as seen below, clear out the comment and try again from the beginning.

Your video should appear like this.
