Question :    Why can`t  the Chess Rule be only  Win, Lose, or Stalemate &" no" Draw by 3 Move Repetition "to Avoid a Loss  The key words = " Avoid Checkmate "  meaning the "Player" who uses the Rule to "Avoid Checkmate" will Lose & not get a Draw there-by all Games will be "Win,Lose or Stalemate " & this Rule I believe would be "Better for Chess" & "Stop" the "serious" increase in "Draws "& increase the word "Checkmate" & "Stalemate "  Final note: Rules can change meaning "The Game of Chess" can Change with the new "Time age of Knowledge " in the "Game of Chess " etc.  Final note: Play the Computer & Yes play the "Hard Game" & you will see that the Computer "Never" gives a "Draw" by the " 3 Move Repetition Rule" now ask yourself "Why" ? if the move keeps repeating the game will never end. thats why there is a rule.

well I think both players have to do the 3 move repeation in order for it to work....

Just happened to me and I wasn't happy about it

...but I guess the player should be smart enough not to let the other person get the repeat position.

Um...I wasn't addressing you but...wrong.  If you looked at the game, you can see there was no option on my part.  He kept checking, I had no other legal moves.

 wrong? I thought both had to repeat...and yea ur opponent force u to repeat...sooooo its unlikely for them to do that. Still I'm right

I have often claimed draws by drawn by repitition.  If I am losing in a game, than I see it as a valid option.  Otherwise the game could continue forever, if both sides are either unwilling or unable to make an alternative move.  And I don't see anything wrong with it. 

Its up to the player winning to avoid it. 

So in the game I posted above, who would that be?
