I just heard on the radio.

 

Desipte my mixed feelingas about Fischer, his loss (now or in '75) is a great loss to the chess world.

Yeah - he looked about 80! Arrogant, egotistical, you wouldn't like him if you met him - but he was an incredible character, and an amazing player - I think that Chess is richer for his games.

God speed Bobby !

Sad to see such a great player and a man from my home town pass.

My Father would tell me stories about Bobby when we were playing a game when I was a boy.

Bobby Fisher. Greatest player ever !
Even the moves he made that weren't all sound still had so much potential, that his opponents often made mistakes. And that was just the one thing that made him so unique !
