Does anybody know the highest performance rating ever achieved in one set of games or in a tournament by a human?

Also of interest: highest performance rating reached by a computer (although I assume that should be relatively static - no pun intended - because a single computer should generally maintain similar calculation processes in most games).

Thanks for the answers! =D

Karpov's Linares 1994 was very high.

Chessmetrics has such a list if I can find it.

Here is something:

and a more comprehensive list:

I think Ivanchuk was somewhere in the 3500s in performance one time...

Anybody have confirmation / exact figures? I saw that Carlsen recently had a 3000+ performance rating.

Perhaps Magnus Carlsen just now at the Nanjing Pearl tournament - 8/10, over 3000: http://bit.ly/FN9gU
