I like the original idea of this list and am curious to see who will finally be the number 3, 2 and 1. But from now on we all should add in maximum five words or so WHY we vote against or in favour of somebody. And the idea to include unofficial champions was good, after the Italian Greco for 13 years we have had 110 years of French champions, De Kermeur 17 yrs, Philidor 48 yrs, Deschapelles 26 yrs and La Bourdonnais 16 yrs. (yes 3 yrs without!). Thereafter we had Staunton 8 yrs, Anderssen 14 yrs and Morphy one year. Lets not forget them, they started it all ! Finally : it is good not to include Khalifmann, Ponomarenko etc. because the original idea apparently is to measure the sympathy for those champions ( so please add WHY you vote against or in favour ! )
