Everyone must have a chess idol, including me. Hey, how about telling me your chess idol or someone you wanted to be. As for me, my chess idol is Bobby Fischer.
"I am the best player in the world and I am here to prove it." - Bobby Fischer
That was what Fischer said and tha was so cool. Fischer also created the chess960 or Fischer Random.
You all?
When i was 8, my chess idol was my own father, lol!
my father taught me chess
Nope, nothing.
Kasparov, Fischer, Casblanca.....
Okay, to tell you the truth I don't have any chess idol. ^_^
billy idol
Idol? Do I need to identify with somebody else in order to feel good about myself?
As for me, yes
In the real world I guess it would have to be the mighty Kasparov. I wouldn't go as far as to call him an idol though.
My dad says,
"Don't be silly by making idols, if you can't stick to their ways, and if you can't learn from them, the good things. I don't and never will make idols, and for me, my idol in is the "myself" which comes to my dreams as if standing towards myself, giving me more attitude and more passion to my work, asking me to deliver the best of mine, and each day i see it, i get millions of dollars of gains in coming times. Still, i see it sometimes."
I have translated it in simple and easy-to-understand words, cuz' the first time i heard it, i had to consult the enclyclos. ten times to get the meaning of those words of him.
And for that, i don't make idols, and it is constantly helping me on way.
Whether it's chess or soccer or bussiness
I hate to say it, but anyway, thats true too..
