It's a guide, but this is a system invented to measure "how strong a player is" as there are a million other possibilities to make a ranking and many other variables not considered there. So I ask independently of their ELO rating at the day of writing.
for example yesterday Carlsen blundered a whole piece. I think now he would lose a match against Anand or Aronian
