Still waiting for a better "do not resign" reason than NimzoRoy's brush with dracula ... lol

Well, what I've found with most non quitters, and I emphasise most, not all. is that instead of moving right away when there is only one square available they wait untill the last hour or take a long time before moving. I even had one guy who was one move away from checkmate, who, rather than get the game over with, went on vacation for two weeks, so whats that all about

resign or not resign ...that is the question...should I play chess with a skull in my hand while wondering that question?
DavidZuniga
Some players want the satisfaction of getting the Mate. I feel like I'm denying them the joy if I resign. But if they are being clumsy about the mate, or trying to promote unneccesarily, then I'll resign.

I didn't want to do this...

Never resign. Resigning is never acceptable. If the opponent is winning, hold out for any possible chance that the opponent makes a mistake to draw or lose, however remote the chance may be. Fight until the bitter end. The pain of losing that way makes you stronger, because it makes you fully experience the pain of losing, which motivates you to defend your own more strongly in future battles.
That's a pretty gutsy koala.
