There should not be a problem because the purpose of this forum is for you to (bravely) announce to the world who your crush in the chessworld is.  Having a crush or falling in love with someone is not a bad thing at all.  Everybody has their reasons for liking someone, some people are physically attracted and there's nothing we can do about that.  I just discourage frontal nudity here.

I was not commenting about the nature of the thread itself. I was just commenting on the way these things have a tendancy to degenerate. I saw how Rael's thread on the sexiest chess players quickly devolved into an argument about whether someone was a poof! As I recall, I was even attacked as a "poof" for saying it's rude to call people "poofs."

For purposes of marital bliss, I have to say that my chess crush is my wife. But if you exclude her, I have to say that Alexandra Kosteniuk is one of many, many beautiful, intelligent, and strong players. It is interesting that chess is getting to be a bit like women's tennis in that regard.

It takes some courage to admit you've got a "crush" on someone.

Not really a crush, but I think Arianne Caoili is beautiful. She's also a GM who seems to have a life outside of chess. Seems pretty cool.

Arianne Caoili … right moves.

Hmm. I would have bet money that it was. Unfortunately it's no longer with us to check . . . In addition to being accused of optimism, I've also been (accurately) accused of suffering early senility.

And I thought it was only girls who gathered together to talk about their crushes.

In any case, let's mix it up a bit.

The stylish Vladimir Kramnik.

Gokukid, isnt that chess set a bit impractical?  You'd think a GM would be able to find somewhere better than that to play a game.

hondoham, that's quite the waistline she's got!

catotheelder, I thought that. what about from behind... then i thought... what about, from below... is that allowed? Sealed

She's the Queen of brains as well. It's a tough combination to beat.

When my tie is crooked, it's because I'm without style, but Mr. Kramnik pulls it off well.

I hadn't seen the modeling photos before. Wow! Very nice.

I had heard about the fight. An intense woman it seems. :)
