I have a problem with the way chess.com implements chess960 tournaments. All such games should be randomly chosen from the 960 possible start-positions,and every game should be a new random choice.

    A thought-experiment:the computer chooses the traditional start-position for a chess960 tournament,then a whole lot of people complain--'hey,this isn't random,you've done it wrong!'.What happens next?Chess.com invents a new chess variant called Chess959.I hope not.

Why oh why can't all games be independent--like they're supposed to be?

This is an interesting comment . Indeed , this is not properly ,
That before the tournament you can see the location figures on the whiteboard . This can result in a tournament where the arrangement of the pieces on the Board is very different from the initial placement of figures in standard chess , there would be little people . In my opinion , to see the first time chess board with pieces you can only just before the start of the game to what he saw was a complete surprise SurprisedSurprised
