hello there. i just wanted to post my ideas of the change to the 3 problems a day in the tactics trainer now. usually i would be the one to protest such a change, as i like using it for free and think that ten would suffice for a day. but since i have only been able to try three problems a day i found it helps me concentrate and do a more through analysis because i only get three.

this change has raised my rating from the mid 1400's to near my personal best of 1703. i am very happy with the change and i hope that it makes us all better tactics solvers.

thank you very much for the change. Sincerly, Jambux_Josh

P.S. in case you were wondering, i worked for jambajuice and starbucks at the same time.

Actually 3 a day - and extracting more generally applicable ideas from them - are enough unless one is significanly on one's way to master level. Doing justice to 10 a day - i mean not just trying them but learning ideas from them - was proving quite a mouthful. I for one am happy with 3+1 a day [+1 is the "daily puzzle"].

Already there are actually 3+1+10 today [bill walls article  - 2nd part of opening chess traps - is arranged as puzzles :) ]

Tactics Trainer is excellent. The system of choosing problems depending on previous results and pointing results is, as I can see, good considered. Wery interesting and stimulating! I found mistakes in two problems, but it's normally, no big deal. Great job guys!

OK, maybe I am just a cheap jerk for thinking 3 isn't enough... even if it is free.  And while I do think that 10 was rather generous I feel like 5 would have been a better number to cut down to...  3 just seems so, puny

truly agree, 5 would be sweet, like 1 DP and 4 TT
