A new variant of greeter

A number of times I have to wait for a few days to get a game with a newcomer.

Possibly as the site expands then Einstein's law of contraction will apply and the new membership will reduce and the curve will be like an asypmtote, such as in an hyperbola graphic or linear or non linear asymptote graphics, then there will be less and less newcomers to be met and play games against.

The end result is there will be not enough newcomers to fill the greeter's demand.

What can we do?

An alternative would be to allow members at all levels to play a game or more with greeters at large. Naturally it would be up to each member to accept individually such a formula to play against a member of any rating.

As member's greeter we could select to play against  members of different levels such as 900 to 1200, 1201 to 1400, 1401 to 1700, 1701 to 2000, 2001 to 2000, 2201 to 2400 and 2400+.  My categories are arbitrary and can be modified.

What are the advantages, you ask?

1. Expand the greeter's category to players of all levels.

2. Meet new people or acquaintances.

3. An everlasting  source of new greeter's game offered to play against.

4. Avoid the void of not having enough newcomers to meet greeter's demand to connect with new people and offer a hand to help and guide.

5. A real chess community where all members can tie to each other.

What do you think?

A suitable suggestion for an interesting idea, indeed. However, (and I got to be honest here) the games I participated as a greeter play a very small role on my enjoyment of the site: most games end by my opponent's time out by move 2 to 4, and (not rarely) I get a plethora of insults while my poor counterpart understand what is online chess and that I don't have to necessarily be there 24/7 - some of those insults were quite creative and addressed my mother, quite amusing...

However, if your formulae specifies these friendly games with people who see no harm to be friendly or, at least choose not to be a-holes, then I'm all for it.

What is the "greeters demand" for more games? What's wrong with Open Seeks?
