For players that time out, there next game should be spec'd to be a longer time per move by the system.

 

So if you time out on a 3 day move game, your next game can only be a 5 day move game, etc. If you successfully complete, then you come back in a notch.

  

...Why? Some of us are busy and have things come up out of our control. We already lose our rating on these games and our win-rate suffers.

 

Why penalize us more?

i think that people who timeout should have to attend a mandatory Time Management seminar by Tony Robbins.
