This pandemic among the chess.com community can't make me stop thinking about baseball and steroids. People know its bad but yet... they still do it. People see others do it and they see the how disappointed others look but yet... they still do it. Who has been discovered now you may ask? It is ouachita... the #1 (or #2 since the #1 is Kamasutra how has also been discovered to be cheating. -.- tsk tsk guys). But who could doubt it? Whenever he looked upon a game to analyze it, it looked suprisingly like computer analysis. This move is bad (with no reasoning at all). This move is great (with no reasoning). I'm not one to be... opinionated often, but this problem is disheartening. These people are supposed to be the leaders of this online community! They have failed to do so.

cheating is a reality in online chess.

chess.com is doing their best to stop and ban cheaters.

so was ouchita actually banned for cheating through a computer, or for some lesser form of cheating, like creating two accounts? because I can't find his name in the list of cheaters thread.

Even if the next #1 is clean, a paranoid lynch mob will be calling for his/her head on a platter.

Although...I would think it unlikely that any #1 would be totally clean, since that could mean he/she is routinely beating monster engines. How sad is that.

I believe some day Chess.com will make some crazy engine detection system (even though its theoretically impossible, but who knows..) and eventualy ban ALL the cheaters.

In the top 100 almost every1 has 100 games played, if chess.com can come up with some engine detection system, then they can probably ban 95% of the cheaters in the top 100-200, thats the first step, then maybe most top players will get banned and then we could actually have a legit #1

Sounds good. No more, "database says x% and therefore this opening is good/bad," and "such and such is the case because I say so(look at my rating!)" type posts by Ouachita.  The community is better off without that guy passing himself off as a pseudo titled player.

I don't think we are allowed to talk about cheating in the public forum- only in a special group about cheating. This forum is going to get locked up. Cry

The only way is to play 1/0 or 2/0 and what use is that.

All the online chess communities suffer from it.  There is not a lot you can do to eradicate it completely.

you got that right especially since admin makes it easy for them what genius thought up the reconnect time he deserves a real pat on the back for thinking it through must have spent a full second or two on that one

wake up just penalize 100points disconnect then all those who are accidentally disconnected can have a goal to get it back i wouldnt mind if i lost all points due to legitimate disconnections

funny how they dont disconnect when in a strong position but do when behind

they should take up a card game with one card in pack so they can stand a chance of working out which card to play
admin make a one card game for these fools

does premium give you a win when these fools disconnect if not dont pay

I would like the other benefits but refuse to pay until they sort this out

I like the site its the only chess site i play now but this is ridiculous i think i have had 20 to 30 times more disconnects from opponents since reconnect was introduced

I dont profess to have answer but i think it warrants a lot more thought

the last game i played he had four or five disconnects in same game

does this seem right to anyone

i got a warning for abusing him     fair enough

which i did dont deny it

what if all disconnectors go to same room to play then they can have real fun they might enjoy to see who is the biggest tosser amongst themselves

go back to lose game if disconnect   till a real solution is found

if they want to use computer havent they tried dual screens or three screens depending on how small the willie is then they dont have to annoy me by disconnecting can just play same move as on second screen or didnt they think of that
