Several people, including myself, have noticed that the analysis board is not working. It opens, but it is just a blank board with no pieces. The movelist is visible, but clicking on any of the moves doesn't have any effect either.
[Just noticed that there is a support forum - this probably should have been posted there instead of here]
The first question in these cases is - which browser are you using?
Some browsers that have problems with this site are Internet Explorer and Opera.
Usually Firefox 3 is the best bet, no matter what system you're using (unless you have Mac. I understand Safari works fine. Also Google Chrome works well.)
have you done a hard-refresh and cleared your cache?
I have been using firefox for a year to access this site with no problems. I just started losing the analysis board in the past day or two.
ok. it can still be a corrupt cache of files. try a hard refresh and clearing your cache :)
hit control+R when on the analysis screen
Erik - some more information:
1) The issue is effecting all *vote* chess games - regular games are OK. I can send screen shot, not sure what use that would be though.
2) I have done hard refresh, also restarted browser followed by hard refresh - no effect (board still blank).
3) went to *another machine*, launched firefox, went to vote games game - still have a blank analysis boiard on that machine too.
4) I have seen other people complaining about the same issue (check the latest Canada team comments in the Team Canada vs. Team Russia vote chess game.)
ah - the votechess analysis board...
