it's not there.
AFAIK, chrome updates itself whenever there is a new version...
Yeah, I also think it is supposed to update automatically. Just don't have it on the machine I'm on now and their site shows 18.x as the stable version; I assumed that would be the most recent one.
cache cleared, a couple of other things (group photo albums, calendar) have returned (although i hadn't realised they'd gone), but still no post new topic button
erik has now been in contact with me, he says the problem is gonna be fixed in the next build next week.
another annoying thing...
when passing the mouse over links, the information from those links appear in little pop-up boxes. Why? hovering over those links should be needed, just passing over them causes unnecessary delays when trying to move the mouse from one part of the screen to another. if i want to look over those details, i'm fairly sure i could manage to hover for half a second.
man, i really do hate this new look
BTW, since clearing cache, site runs slower still
Just for balance - site is great - fast & easy to use for me.
Chromium 17.0.963.79 on Linux Mint 9
Before the changed the layout or system i had almost 90 reverals or something ?
In the past, when you ran your cursor over a members name in the threads (and other places), it would indicate whether he was "online," presently.
Does some version of this information still hold in the new format?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Okay you are listening & I noticed the change ! (typography)
Thanks to Erik & Staff, even you Martin !! for that :):)
that was when you hovered over their name. now if your mouse pointer passes over it, a box of about 5 x 2 inches pops up, often getting in the way of where you try to point the mouse. you have to move away to get rid of it, and if you pass over another when trying to get back to the point on the screen where you were looking to get to in the first place, the same happens again.
The online indicator now appears as a small green square, either in the lower right-hand corner of their avatar, or (if the avatar is in a list of games, etc.) right next to it.
EDIT: As for the member pop-up, if the user has been online recently, it will simply show "Last Online: Today"; the old method was frequently misleading. :)
A bit dense. You click on the member's name (twice) for the "close up," and then the green square appears. It works.
Um... where and how can I change my status? I typed a really stupid status the night before the interface change and of course now I can't find a way to edit it. Anybody know?
HOME / ACCOUNT / MY ONLINE SETTINGS / scroll down to MESSAGE FOR OPPONENTS. Don't forget to save your settings. :)
Yes it still does the same.
Thanks, chess_kebabs. Done!
You're welcome Rowley_Junction :)
Dang that was fast.. I was going to check that silly status lol
