Referring to the "Captured Pieces" in the "Details" tab of the turn-based games:

 

Would it be an easy change to always show your color on top and you opponent's color on bottom? This would give the immediate illusion that some of your pieces are on his side of the board (captured) and some of his pieces on your side of the board. Of course the current system works fine when I play white. :)
