i think it would be great if on the list of moves it used the ?s and !s to show if a move was excellent or a blunder. might help some of us novice players improve our game

That would be considered computer assistance.

not really. the computers just tellin you if the move makes sense. not where to move.

Did you have me in mind, KeWIN, when you were thinking to help the NOVICE players improve their game? Thanks for keeping me in mind! Smile

Consider a situation where your opponent sacrifices a piece; if there's a question mark, then you know it's ok to take it, otherwise, you probably shouldn't. If you want your moves analyzed, that's great, but wait 'til after the game.

Even if it's ok, it would take an absurd amount of resources for chess.com to analyze every move.

Basically its a bad idea is the point toward which quarki is belaboring.

I don't see why you can't just submit your game for computer analysis after its over.

i think instant feedback would help more. players are more likely to remember mistakes. analysis after the game you dont really remember what you were thinking at the time. plus the computer shows 5 or 6 correct moves for each player, but more than likely your opponent wouldnt make the computers move.

too much work. easier to let the computer tell when you made a questionable move. not like its telling you where to move.

Instead, when you make a bad move, you should hear the voice of Larry Christiansen yelling, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING????"

You have any idea how much it would cost chess.com to analyze every single move of every single game in real time?

And it would still be helping you by telling you if you have a good plan.
