You *do* realize you posted this on the Chess Spartan's own page, correct? You're definitely preaching to the choir here! :) I might actually join a few matches once I get my high-speed hooked up.
oh really? :p
i'll post it on the forums then :p

THIS. IS. CHESS!!!!!

A group promoting unfairness and unsportsmanslike behaviour by not resigning and dragging on hopelessly lost positions. Boo!!
[/troll]
you're wrong about that. If there is a chance of winning the game, even if you're a rook down or something, play 'till the end until its checkmate. Thats the motto of the group. We love glorious come-backs :D
Of course if it's king vs. king and queen, you CAN resign even though (!) you have a chance of drawing the game!! Who says you have to resign? It's your right to play until the end right? So please, don't post these kind of comments on here.
TROLL :D

You don't get it, bamboozel. It's a matter of moral behaviour to resign when you're hopelessly lost. Any chessplayer can confirm this unwritten law. If you've never heard of this, then you're probably not a real chessplayer...
Hello fellow dutchman
I understand this completely, its like fair sportmanship in football, its also an unwritten law. BUT who cares?? This is a chess site, you can win on time! If I ever play over the board chess (or whatever its called!) i WILL resign if i'm hopelessly lost! Thank you!
I Dont want to start a discussion on this.. :)

If you didn't want to start a discussion, why post this in the forum ?

Hello everyone! :D
Are you a chess player who never RESIGNS and plays until its checkmate, like a true spartan would do? ;)
Or if you just like the fighting spirit of the Spartans...
Than there is a group for you! Join the Chess Spartans!
btw we won't delete you if you resign once in a while, its not a rule :p
greetings from Sparta!

Didn't the Spartans throw in the towel every now and again e.g. at the Battle of Pylos,
I didn't want to start the 2914th discussion about this either, I did it just for the trolling effect. It seems it worked. I'm out.
Fizziee!!
Yeah I know those betrayers!! LEONIDAS would never do that! :D
