I use it for all my chess related emails.  I've got separate accounts for chess, work, friends and family, miscellaneous online stuff, and one I give out when I have to supply an email address but don't really want to.  It's easier for me than trying to use filters in one account.

I like the interface, it's not slow at all for me.

Not everyone has an   @chess.com  mail address, in which case you'd have to use the "Send Message" option on that members profile page.

If you want to mail someone, and they do have an  @chess.com email address set up here, just click on their profile and then click where it says "send email".

Any way to get rid of the:

signature? I sent an email to my school address because I suspected something of the sort was bound to rear its head.

I hate it! I don't want to send emails to my friends with that little ad on the bottom! that's why I use yahoo mail.

Man, you are right -- I always thought that Yahoo included footers in their emails as well -- I could have sworn they did that.  Anyway, I use the chess.com email, and its really nice.  Besides I am on here more than on my email usually, why not combine the two and have them both in one place?  Besides, I always like to think that when people see the @chess.com in my email, their opinion of my IQ bumps up a few notches...until they see my actual rating, of course.

I am having difficulty finding what other people's email addresses are from within the site.

Clicking on their profile and then choosing email, does not utilize the email client. It uses the messaging system which is basically the same as send a message.

I wish the signature at the bottom automatically referenced the user sending the email, so if they signed up you would be acknowledged.

I also use it as my primary e-mail, at least in these day. I really like this application, and its nice to have email-adress ending with @chess.com. I can understand that somebody dont fancy the two sentences at the bottom of each mail you send. Someone might find it emberrasing, or maybe it is not appropriate to include this in the actual mail they are sending. For myself i dont care that much. It would be nice you could choose to take it away on certain occasions, but overall i have to say that a chess.com email is a really good thing to have:)
