chess.com email notifications not working now?

    UPDATE - this is happening again (25 March 2011)

    ===============================================================

    I used to get a mail icon at the top right of the page (next to UserID | Help | Logout) to indicate that I had new unread mail.  This doesn't appear anymore.

    Is this affecting everyone?  I can't see any setting that switches this on or off.  Or am I just going mad?

    Any ideas folks?

    since the email format changed about 8 weeks ago , i no longer get any new email notifications either, the place on my homepage that used to say 5 new emails etc always says -0. Dont know why?

    Same here.  No notifications unless the email originates from a chess.com address.

    Hi,

       Still does not work for me, no icon and it always says "0 new" on my home page.

     

    I sent a single test email from an external email account - The email did arrive I just got no notification.

    For me it doesn't even say "0 new" (& I've sent myself a mail from my gmail account)

    The email notifications do not work - not just for me but for others who have different email providers. I have checked my spam/junk mail and made there are no emails in there.

    Even though I have only been a member for a very short time, I got the odd email when it was my move, which is very useful otherwise I have to repeatedly check the site to see if my opponent has moved. Now I get no notifications at all which is disappointing.

    I also have many missed emails when it is my turn, I just keep checking back to see when it's my turn.

    As a sidenote, the same thing happens with missed notifications in the droid app but I have posted that in the mobile thread.
