i would like to join but i dont know what my exact rating is...

I'd be interested in doing some informal mentoring if some are willing to hear out what I have to say.  USCF 1907 Chess.com 2287, On the other hand, learning from others seems to be good as well. I do have a question though, which is, how are the students and mentors going to be able to know when the other is on and how are things going to be examined (meaning is this going to be something where you send your mentor a game in a pgn file and let him/her send you the annotated file back, or is this just going to be mentors giving references to web pages,or private videos on youtube,  or is it going to be getting on a chess server and examining a game)?
