Cool, thanks.  Great work as usual -- I'm now officially addicted to chess.com mobile as well.

Yes - a fix for the misplaced pieces and some enhancements on the login screen.

OK, another request:

I don't know if it's easy to do I'd love to see a semi-passive alert (like a chess.com pawn icon) at the top of my blackberry screen when I have moves to make.  If it's possible/feasible, having the app run in the background and poll every 5-10 minutes more than would do the job for me.

As list of those phones or systems supported would be good.  My centro doesn't seem to recognize it.

we don't know exactly which phones do and do not work.

but it should be most phones that support java 2, a keyboard, and internet connection...

There is a list that touches on this here:

http://www.chess.com/play/mobile-chess.html

Perhaps more feasible would be to have more explicit system requirements than are currently listed on that page.  That way you can check your phone's specifications against the systemr requirements instead of Erik and staff having to keep up with all of the phones on the market that meet those specs and to maintain the list accordingly.

I've just noticed that I don't get feedback on the mobile platform when an opponent resigns -- the game just never pops back up and I don't find out until I log in online.  Not sure if this is the same for draw offers/accepts and wins by checkmate, but it would be great if I got closure on my blackberry in each of those cases.

Hmmm... if you're interested in a Chess.com iPhone app, you may want to join the new iPhone / iPod Touch user group that I recently created. I hope to have some of the many developers of chess applications for the iPhone join and interact with our other members (Magnus Lidman, maker of IMO the best FICS client for the iPhone, is a member). Erik, Chess.com's Benevolent Chesstator for Life, has joined and has a sticky forum topic for features and ideas for the upcoming Chess.com iPhone app. Come join!

I've got a Blackberry Curve and overall it works great!  Getting to look at games where it's not my move and getting the Analysis board are HUGE!  Thanks!

Minor issue, when I have the board on large size and go into analysis mode I lose the top part of my screen's working space to the "Analysis Board" banner.  The board does not shrink, so the bottom rank of the board disappears.  I can't scroll the board up or down to see it.  I can go down and get a piece from there 'blind' and move the piece to another rank where I can see it, so I know the bottom rank is functional, just not visible.

The workaround is to change the board to small size which is what I've been doing, but analysis on the small board is pretty hard on the eyes after a while.

Is this just a Blackberry problem?

I've got the same issue on my blackberry.  I don't really use the analysis board myself, but I think that it is clear from the menu items that are available that the board is the analysis board and not the game board so I really think that the title bar is extraneous -- particularly given this issue.

On a side note, adding the VCR controls to allow you to better navigate forwards and backwards through a position on the analysis board would be outstanding as well.

The name has now been changed to the Apple iPhone / iPod Touch Owners user group.

Minor interface quibble with the latest version:

Now that I can set my options to show all games, and not those in which it is my move, I have a longer list of games and a scroll bar on the right hand side of the games list.

The problem is that in order to get to the menus at the bottom of the screen, I must first scroll all the way to the bottom of my games list, and in order to get back to the top games in this list (the ones where it is my move) I have to scroll all the way back up.

Can I request that a minor change be made so that scrolling up from the top game in the list puts the cursor on the menus, and scrolling down from the menus puts the cursor on the top game?  This is exactly how it works in the games screen (from the rank at the top of the screen to the menus and visa-versa).

Using a BlackBerry 8310 with the latest version of the mobile app (2.1.0) and still no joy, just get the connection failed message.

Any thoughts?
