Recently I got an internet plan with my mobile device and when surfing the web via my cell phone I've noticed some websites have a mobile device mode to make loading the site easier and less time consuming for the phone's limited capabilities. But when I went to chess.com I believe there was only a regular site mode.

So that got me thinking about how maybe somewhere in the distant future, maybe the chess.com staff could figure out a mobile device mode for this website. It's not like I'm dying for it, just an idea that maybe the staff would like to try out. Anyone else think it's a good idea?

I think that it already exists fro some devices, Apple iPhone and Nokia N95 if memory serves me correctly.

Well I have an iPhone and there wasn't a mobile device mode that I saw. Then again I didn't look very closely....

I have an iPhone and I made a move this past weekend from it just using the normal site. It was very slow and kind of buggy.

yeah - it isn't optimized. we don't have the resources to nail the iphone version at this time. we're going to wait until more mobile phones work with it (using mobile opera or safari).

That's cool. No rush, I was just throwing out an idea.
