There are only a few interesting Podcasts available, namely PE Podcasts, Chess is Cool and Killer Chess Tactics. For this reason I am looking at helping chess.com out with the production of a podcast. The idea is produce a video podcast roughly 5 minutes in length to be released every 1 or 2 weeks. Playing through a trap, tactic, position or game. There will also be some nice advertising for chess.com.

We'll need to get a small bank of say 5 podcast ready and maintain this buffer, so that pocasts can still be released when the production guys are not available.

For hints, tips, suggestions or even to direct me to another useful chess podcast comment below.

The ones I've seen are:

Chess is Cool - an audio round up of recent events by Alexandra Kosteniuk

Killer Chess Tactics - video podcast by Alexandra Kosteniuk

Both the Alexandra Kosteniuk Podcasts are sporadic in their release but very good.

And the best of the amateur's is PE Chess (PinkElephantPodcast.com) which is okay, but a bit silly and very random in style.

I hope to put something together today and send it to Erik later.  If he agrees with the style and content we can look at getting these published.

We are a little while off, but the idea is now "out there" and being developed.  I wanted to make the chess.com community aware of the idea from the very beginning, because it's best to have something like this created by all of us, for all of us.  So any ideas or inputs will be great.

Looks like we are going ahead with these, in the next few weeks.  I'll leave the official anouncements to Erik and the team - but keep your eyes peeled!
