Now there's a few thousand members on this site, is it possible to see your ranking? Or if you can already, how do you view it?

I agree.  There should be a number.  Every page under Online Chess  | Players lists 50 players.  If you sort by highest rating, then you have a list of players.  If you are on the first page, you are in the top 50.  Every page after that is 50 more.  I believe there are 5,559 rated players on 120 pages.  The lowest, #5959, is rated 668.

Well thank you medievalchess. Thing is, all the other sites do it and i just wondered who was top. May be a way of seeing if there's any GM's on here too.

There is a ranking! When you click members you can order them by rating. Same thing!

Sorry Nilesh, but i don't get you. Who's top then? Or do i have to trawl through 15,000 or so members until i find him/her.

erik, There sould be a number of games one's should play to be rank. How about 20 games?

 It's nice to be high on the list, but I don't deserve to be there.  We need to get some more of those super tough GK players over here...

Thanks oruam. I feel a right idiot now. When i clicked on your link i realised i'd seen this before. I'd been trying to view it from the members link. A big sorry to Erik too for trying to get him to create something that was already there. Sorry!

I don't think that is really a ranking list because a) there is no numbers next to the names  and b) for a ranking list to be accurate it should only include active members who have played a certain mininum number of games, so only players with an RD of  less than perhaps 120 or so should be included. Also it would be nice to look on my homepage and see my current rank and what percentile I am in.
