Closed account should terminate all active games?

I just won two games, on time, against someone. I looked at his/her profile and found a staggering run of timeouts due to this account being closed, and what's more, he/she still has 147 active games left!! So 147 games are just waiting around while the timer counts down, when for all intents and purposes the games should have been forfeited to the opponents right away.

Player is RAFATHECHAMP just to clarify the situation if I'm not making sense. I just figure that closing someone's accounts should also involve doing the opponents a favor and forfeiting the games immediately.

Yes, The games should be closed automatically.

One would think, however in my time here that has not been the case - hopefully that is something that the powers that be will be able to fix --- although at the moment I'd be happy if we all just got accurate game counts again....

I guess that could be done...might be a little something to do with the rating adjustments though...not sure.

The account didn't look closed to me.

You would deprive me of the drama of waiting for my banned opponent's vacation to run out?

there are times when accounts may be accidentally closed for spamming or other issues, so we can't auto-terminate.

Thanks for the clarification Erik! Makes sense to me. And Ziryab, you made me laugh. :)
