I tried to make a comment on a Chess Article, part of it included pasting in text from elsewhere.  When I hit submit I got an error message saying I must enter a comment.  I thought I did.  Can someone enlighten me please?

several times, very frustrating.  I found Tarrasch's commentary on his game with Lasker to correspond with the article isolated pawn and thought I could share it by nada.

try copy/paste it into Windows Notepad first (to remove all possible formatting), then copy/paste that into the article. your source might have bad formatting.

And, on a related topic, if anyone wants a FREE app that will automatically strip out all formatting upon pasting, check out:

http://www.stevemiller.net/puretext/

(and no, I don't know this guy.  The only Steve Miller I know had a few hit songs from the 70s)

This app is very cool -- I was doing a lot of copying from the web, and just wanted to past the stripped down text.  Saves a LOT of time.
