I'm having quite severe problems connecting to chess.com right now, each pageload takes about 1-2 minutes (just posting this cost over 5 minutes)... Anyone els having this problem?

Same here in the UK and with my playing friends over the pond.  The hidden benefit is that I take more time over my moves!

Cloyescapade, this isn't a beta site, the live chess area is just in beta. And yes, things seem to be better now...

Actually, I'm intermittently unable to access the site. Is the server experiencing downtime? Or is it just me?

Chiefster how you mean 1/3 in live chess? You mean on size of the board? You can modify it in live chess in  window "Control  Panel" click on settings there, and you will find "Board Size" you have 3 options. 1.default-you currently use  2.medium  3.large

You should get a Stratus fault-tolerant server... they have five 9's of uptime.

It's really slow for me, too. I'm on cable so there's no reason it should be sooo sloooww. My local time zone is Arizona, so right now I'm basically on PDT. It's 6 am local time, so unless it's really busy it shouldn't be this sluggish.

Adding insult to injury I'm intermittently getting that IE glitch where no text will appear in the text box when I'm trying to type. I have to hit F5 3 or 4 times to get it to work properly.

Please fix these issues as soon as you can. They're EXTREMELY annoying.

It is so slow now, I am really not sure if I want to pay to be on chess.com. Does it slow down often?
