    That's not an argument!

    Yes it is.

An argument is a series of reasoned statements ..... it's not just an automatic gainsaying of what the other person has just said!

    Yes it is.

    No it's not!

    Time's up.

No it's not!  I was just getting started.  That was never 5 minutes!

    Yes, it was.

    No, it wasn't.

If it was, why are you still arguing?!

I could be arguing on my own time.

(Sorry for the paraphrasing ... that was from memory...)

I was semi-quoting John Cleese and Micael Palin in their "Argument Clinic" sketch from Monty Python.  Occasionally some forum comment exchanges bring that to mind ... not sure why .... ;-)

I think the name was picked 23 months ago but we weren't told?

I was confused for months, seeing 'Online Chess' and 'Live Chess' separated.. I knew what 'correspondance chess' was, but that didn't help me, because 'online chess' fails horribly to describe what makes it unique.

Is this a "problem" only because one lone soul (well intentioned, but perhaps misguided) doesn't like the "correspondance chess" moniker?

In other words, would we even be having this discussion if we were calling it 'correspondance chess' here at chess.com?

My opinion: we are making this way more difficult than it should be... do we really need to re-invent this wheel?
