DELETE entire topic?

I like to be in CONTROL. There are times when I feel that a topic that I started has gotten out of control and I wish to DELETE the entire topic and all the posts within that topic. When I tried to delete the first post (which was mine because I started it) it only deleted the 1st post and not the ENTIRE topic.

Why is this? STEP UP to the plate chess.com and explain why we have the power to start a topic but not end it. I feel we will be doing you a favor by removing unwanted topics that just stagnate and waste space.

You may start the topic but it's not exclusively your property. The topic belongs to the community, especially the other contributors, who have invested time and effort in their replies. You sound like the little boy who wants to take his ball back because the other boys won't let him dictate every aspect of their play together.

Next you'll be asking to have the power to delete any posts in threads you create.

It's such a scary site for some.

NO, I will never EVER EVER censor posts in a topic that I start. But it is an ENTIRELY different story if I wish to END a topic and every post in it, rather than just pick and choose the posts I want. CAN YOU NOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE?

If you can't, then there is little hope in me trying to converse with you.
