Actually, it's quite sad. I look forward to the day when the top players on this site are all above suspicion, but that is probably a pipedream.

Who was he and why did he get banned? Probably a stupid question but I haven't been here long.

I believe he was the highest rated member....i could be wrong though

 he used an engine (chess computer) to cheat (make his moves for him )

I can't wait to hear from the Ouachita apologists. 

I will miss him, though, as his hubris-filled posts were very fun to respond to.  Hopefully the next top rated engine user likes to post, too.

OK. I didn't realise this site had such a rule but now I do. IECG and ICCF don't have such a rule for some reason.

Since you were one of those who spotted this fraud early on and was brave enough to say so to his face, you deserve a reward.

You'll have to throw in a couple references to your superior lineage, while you're at it.

Calling him out didn't require any bravery, goldendog.  Thanks anyway, though.
