Does anybody have problems with chess.com by using google chrome?

Something else Chrome related for live chess is that if you have uTorrent or BitTorrent as an addon it can prevent you from making moves in your game.

Good news is though that if you disable it even during a game you can then make moves without needing to refresh or restart the browser.

This has been informative because I still have a couple of problems on this site despite using Chrome (I gave up on I.E. long ago). I've just disabled the two extensions I have & I'll see if things improve.

But I think threads such as this might be better posted on the Help & Support forum ?

I also have problem in Chrome - any chess diagrams don't work, when solving chess puzzles, pieces freeze. And when i run live or simple chess, there is only blank white screen. In Firefox it works.

I also just today started having the problem with Google Chrome and Online Chess where the pieces stick to mouse cursor. I've played numerous other games on Online Chess with Google Chrome and they worked just fine. Glitch just started today. Chrome browser hasn't changed.

Another Chrome extension/add-on/plug-in that caused this problem (for me) was FLV Runner.

For me, this is what I get, using both Chrome and Internet Explorer!

And, the board does not load. I don't think its my extentions that are causing the problem though...

Have you tried without the extensions?

On E i had many problems, went to g.chrome --end of problems. Heard that Java pop-up is backround noise on many servers and causing havoc....anyone know if this true ?

Yup. I tried everything from no extentions, re-installing browsers and everything at my disposal. :(

I am also having trouble with the analysis board - it doesn't load...

I got on fine with Firefox until recently and tried Chrome instead. Problems with that now. IE is OK. Chrome says Java version is out of date and has been blocked. I can unblock it for this game. Or update it. But I've updated it countless times and it doesn't seem to recognise it. Any Java experts out there?

So, does anybody know the problem...?

Bump. Can't move using Chrome. Regular moves or conditional. Don't really have much more info, it just doesn't work in Chrome, hasn't for a while. I have popup blockers and a few extensions, I can list if needed.

Do list them. CHrome works for most people. I had a problem with Chrome at one point until I disabled specific extensions (see post #20 and #27).

I have had most of the problems mentioned with Firefox all versions on a netbook with wifi which seems to be treated sometimes as a "mobile device." Chrome so much worse I put up with the hanging etc from Firefox. I assumed it was just my machine/connection.

Still an issue. Tested without addons, on multiple computers.

Safari: Disable Develop menu.

Using Safari, I was unable to move my pieces in Live Chess unless I disabled Develop menu.

Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop menu in menu bar

A general security issue related to extensions that any Chrome user should be aware of:

Recently Chrome starting giving me problems on live chess, wouldn't let me make the opening move or respond to an opening.  Not a consistent  problem, but over a few weeks cost me five games - and a reprimand for aborting. I finally solved the problem by changing browsers.
