Does anyone know if there are plans to tie the Facebook Chess to our accounts here?

it's a future dream... but it is kinda mucky on how it would work... do we show facebook games on chess.com? what are the usernames? lots of weird issues...

Why can't you have the user associate their Facebook account to a chess.com account so that everyone has a common pool of games between the two platforms and then provide them with the choice whether or not they want that association publicized or obscured?

That way it could really just be considered a second set of credentials via which users could access their games (and they'd be able to play the same game from either platform) and users would still have the ability to retain their privacy if they so desired.

I really think Facebook is a ready-made captive market that you'd be crazy not to want to tap into.

we DO tap the facebook market - we own it :) but mixing with chess.com is another story. facebook doesn't allow you to take people's names/identities off of facebook. so on chess.com you would be playing against "fb22002223456". and that is just ONE of the many many problems...

As long as we don't get in trouble for having two accounts (chess.com and FB) I don't care to much although it would be nice...
