I was making a new topic with five games from a recent tournament, everyone of them annotated to the death.

After 2 and a half hours, I finally click submit forum topic and the page refreshes and the whole thing is gone, with things like

'A forum topic name is required'

'Forum text is required'

And then the whole thing is blanked an my two and a half hours work is just gone and dissapeared into thin air.

Any reason why this happened?

Ah that's a bit harsh, Not sure why it happened but I know when you're doing a blog if you spend more than half an hour on it you sometimes have to click save and preview first I think or you can lose it, not sure about forums though, I didn't think you had to.

To avoid this Problem I would submit it one game at a time (One game, per comment)

Or possibly do 1 game, post it and then edit that post adding another game etc

Yeah, sorry. For a number of technical reasons, you can't spend too long creating a post. As others have said, it's best to do the actual work of a long post outside of the site, then come in and cut/paste it.

Yeah, my most recent topic I just clicked preview after every 30 minutes and it posted just fine. Thanks guys
