Giving "odds" in turn based chess

Apologies if this has been raised before, but I was wondering whether it would be possible to add a facility to give "odds" in (unrated) turn-based games. I have a few friends who are quite a bit lower rated than I am, so giving odds of e.g a pawn or a knight would be a good way to even things up a bit, and hopefully make the games a bit more fun and competitive.

I'm no computer expert so I don't know how easy it would be to play around with the game rules in that way - just thought I'd raise it as a possibility.

I think that giving odds in turn based chess would be a great idea! It has been known to happen in real OTB chess before so why not here?! I'd need to get my rating back up to where it was however, before I could take part myself!

Presumably such games would need to be unrated?

The initial position would be obvious from the move history, but it would be useful to label the game clearly as an odds-games to avoid people boasting they beat a GM (without mentioning it was at odds!)

(Similarly, non-standard starting position selected from chess.com's existing list should be logged with the game.)
