Goodbye to our Iranian friends.

Some people are simply stupid and can't really be reasoned with.

"I was aghast when he denied the Holocaust occurred and implied that the existence of Israel was a major reason for the continued unrest in the Middle East."

Why were you aghast?  You disagree that the existence of Israel is a major reason for the continued unrest in the Middle East?

<BigPoison> comment #139 falls under the definition of "hate speech".

From this point onwards, I will report anybody advocating the destruction of Israel, the destruction of any other country, or the forced Islamization of any other country.

The purpose of this thread is to express sorrow, maybe even rage, at any attempt to shut Iranian people off of the internet. It will not become home to hate speech against Israel, Israelis, Judaism or Jews. We've had enough!

We need to respect other cultures.

Come again?  I neither advocated anything nor do I hate anybody.  Report away.

If anyone thinks that Israel is not a major reason for the continued unrest in the Mid-East, they're delusional.

Personally I think many Islamic countries use Israel as a boogey man (using a term that a previous poster used) for their problems and troubles.

"The problem is not in the stars, but in ourselves" to quote Shakespeare (Julius Caesar, in case you wanted to look it up).

The problems I see in the Middle East is the lack of education, the lack of jobs, the strict interpretation of the Koran and the resultant strict Islamic law (just recently there was a report of a business man in Iran who was hanged for fraud - it happened so fast that not even his attorney knew about the hanging), the limitations of the press, and the general intolerance of new or different ideas of government, economics, and education for all.

Women are generally excluded from school, politics and, in general, in public. And while the situation is getting better, there are many who want to push women further back into isolation.

Oil is a great resource many Middle East countries use and sell. They have become rich. But much of this richness is not used to encourage other commodities or invested other resources. Why not spend some money to encourage developing medicines, teaching about other beliefs systems (including a fair view on religions), championing women’s rights, exploring space and other sciences (when was the last time a Middle Eastern won a Noble Prize in Chemistry, Economics, or any other of the science?)

I keep hearing how many countries in the Middle East want the Palestinians to have their own country. If it is such a big deal to them – why not offer them some of your land?? Problem solved!

Or if such displaced people really bother the countries of the Middle East, why not help out the Kurds, the Georgians, the women (under Islamic law and under the Taliban), and other troubled peoples around the region? But you were obvious not concerned about them.

Of course, you could even think larger and help out the Aborigines in Australia, and other peoples. But you were obviously not concerned about them either.

You could obviously help out in Somalia, which has been lawless for years and needs stability; that is something you could do to help the helpless people. Again, that is something that obviously doesn’t concern you.

Iraq invaded both attacked Kuwait and Iran (that’s you!). But that doesn’t concern you – you don’t want to wipe that nation off the map.

Only Israel.

It’s a boogey man to you.

Stop blaming other countries for your problems.

Fix your own problems. You can do it - you partly did with your Arab Spring a couple of years back – and I applauded the people who refused to believe that they had to follow the old philosophy and inequality.

And stop creating more problems for yourselves.

"If it is such a big deal to them – why not offer them some of your land?? Problem solved!"

Ha!  That's pretty funny, considering the context.  Better yet, why not offer "them" some of somebody else's land?  Maybe the Palestinians should be moved to Poland?

I really didn't want to get into this, but looks like I am missing out on all the fun...

It is easy to say to the patient it is ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Some crimes against humanity are real. You have to understand who set up the state of Israel. Now instead of owning up to the problem and treating the people of palestine like humans (AND Don't say what is happening there is right...), they are completely trying to supress their voice, and saying the reason why they are acting that way is because for the following reasons:

The problems I see in the Middle East is the lack of education, the lack of jobs, the strict interpretation of the Koran and the resultant strict Islamic law (just recently there was a report of a business man in Iran who was hanged for fraud - it happened so fast that not even his attorney knew about the hanging), the limitations of the press, and the general intolerance of new or different ideas of government, economics, and education for all.

A lot of countries have those problems, but they are not fighting Israel...

I hear the U.S.A have a lot empty plots...oh wait we are still trying to kick out the mexicans right??

Mmmmm maybe because they didn't start half of all that stuff....Maybe if the Imperialist big boys kept in their own yard and stop messing with other peoples lives...cutting other peoples lands, slavery, you know that kind of worldwide talibaning, they wouldn't have to....

Of course, you could even think larger and help out the Aborigines in Australia, and other peoples. But you were obviously not concerned about them either.

Perhaps they should....Hmmm how should they do it??? Well they can just take over the countries, set up better governments?

No one is saying that those countries don't have problems of their own, but no one is listening to the Palestinians. They don't have a voice, and each time they say something, the whole things gets minimised, and deflected in the way the West have learnt how to do so well.

Injustice is injustice, no matter what you say...sooner or later the Truth erupts, whether you are the East or the West.

Do I have to bring this thread to a train wreck??   Isreal has been used as an EXCUSE for all the problems of the world since the beginning of time.  Time to give it a rest, in fact its long over due to give it a rest.

Lets move Israel to the US...any empty deserts in the states? Las Vegas anyone?
