also I play OTB so will I get a good response if I start publishing my games for analysis? Id also like to use this site for my own personal ches blog for photo's events etc and wish to know exactly what is available. Is it worth me making a face book site for teh blog or are there enough features here?

Hi!  Welcome to the site, you've stumbled upon the single best chess site in the world.

The best part about the site is by far the actual game play, pick up a few correspondence opponents and get yourself an established rating.  In the meanwhile look around, you'll find some amazing features this site offers.  Everyone likes different site features more than others so I won't go about suggesting things you should try, other than the actual game play.

If you'd like, send me an unrated game (you might have to browse around the site to learn how to do this), and I'll try to help you out and answer your questions.

Yes and here (http://www.chess.com/membership.html) will show you the differences between the different levels of memberships.  Erik and the entire staff of chess.com are always working to improve this site -- enjoy and welcome!

hi again, are any of you guys part of the team here? I wish to purchase a months membership while I get aqauinted with the site, its not expensive and I dont mind a few pounds but unfortunately they dont accept paypal and I wont give my credit card over the net. I can either pay them directly through pay pal or they can add it as a new feature which I think would be a positive addition to this already great site.

Ih8sens I just sent you a challenege. uite useful, helped me see how the site works. Guess the best way of learning is by doing. This site has some really great features. Im goign to attempt some tactics trainers
